Mobile Estates is a relatively small 55+ community of friendly, welcoming people. While many owners are seasonal residents, a growing number have chosen to make Mobile Estates their year-round home. This diverse community of 282 households hails from all over the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe and Asia.
Our community comes together often to celebrate holidays and special occasions and for dinners, dancing, parties, and impromptu gatherings. Events like block parties, music evenings, and poker runs help to break up the routine of JADIP (just another day in paradise). Laughter, fun, and chances to meet are around every corner.
Leagues form around both indoor and outdoor activities such as billiards, bingo, bocce, corn hole, shuffleboard, and pickle ball. Enjoy opportunities to join resident golf enthusiastss at our many nearby golf courses. Or join the bikers and walkers who enjoy the natural beauty that is right here in our neighborhood. Enjoy the nearby Legacy Trail — walk or bike part or all of its 18 1/2 miles. Bowl with friends at the AMF bowling alleys down the street. Join the book club or one of many card groups. Or start your own!
Consider joining one or more of our active committees.
Join a committee to meet others and perhaps share your expertise. Many committees — Beautification, Pool & Spa, Laundry — help maintain specific physical areas of Mobile Estates. The Recycling/Environmental Committee keeps us informed as to how we can do our share to keep our environment healthy and clean. Or you might consider helping with Recreation, the Newsletter, or the Website.
We honor our volunteers each year with an appreciation luncheon. Every year, we show our gratitude to over fifty volunteers for their contribution to the Mobile Estates community.
Though we work and play together often, we also respect those who need or prefer some private time, either here at Mobile Estates, or in this great paradise we call home. Just ask a neighbor where to find the best, or the quietest, sun and sand, or aquamarine waters of the bay, intracoastal waterway, and Gulf of Mexico. It’s all closer than you think, all within three miles of Mobile Estates.
As Fred Rogers so often asked, Won’t you be my neighbor?
