For many of us, this time of year is bitter-sweet. We are happy to return north to our family and friends, but sad to leave our wonderful friends and neighbors here at our southern home. How blessed we are to have the best of two worlds.
We will miss our year-round residents, but I bet they’ll love the pool all to themselves. Also, quieter times and less traffic in and out of our community.
I would like to welcome our new Board Directors with open arms. I know you will be an asset to the remaining Board and all the shareholders. Thank you for volunteering your time and talents.
We have accomplished many, many things this past year, but there is still much to be done. One of our biggest problems at the present is the sewers. It has been a major cost for repairs because of putting things such as wipes, cloths, paper towels, etc. down the toilets. I wish that we could have spent that money on relining the mains.
We have a great Board of Directors and wonderful team of volunteers and I know we will accomplish much this coming year.
I would like you to know that we have hired Patty Kerr as our new Cam Manager. She comes to us highly qualified, as she has been a Cam Manager for many years and will be a big asset to us. Please feel free to come and introduce yourself to her.
Unfortunately, we did not have a quorum for our annual meeting in March. It will be continued on April 5, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Please plan on attending this important meeting.
Before I go on, I want all of the volunteers to know you are truly appreciated and without
For those who are going up north, please remember to secure anything that might blow around; all furniture, mats, garden items and trash cans. Flush your toilet 3 times before you leave in order to make sure all toilet paper has gotten to the main sewer. Always close your main water valve outside your home, put your garden hoses away.
Have a safe trip home and a wonderful summer. We look forward to your return.
THANK YOU and God Bless you all.
MaryAnn Stankiewicz, your President
